Home | News | Company News Toshio Nakao Chair On July 2, 1998, the official inauguration took place of the Toshio Nakao Chair in the Department of Operative Dentistry and Dental Materials at the University Dental School. This chair is named after the father of the present President and Chief Executive Officer of GC Corporation Mr. Makoto Nakao. The agreement between the University and GC Corporation covered 5 years basic research into adhesion of all types of dental materials, with the objective of gaining a better understanding of the mechanisms of adhesion. After a fruitful co-operation with very goods results, GC has decided to prolong the Toshio Nakao Chair at the University for a second period of five academic years. On September 2, 2003, the new contract was signed in the Faculty Club in Leuven. Both Prof. Dr. B. Van Meerbeek and Prof. Dr. P. Lambrechts are the new chair holders. GC is looking forward to the continuation of this scientific co-operation with the Leuven Dental School, which has long standing close ties with GC and an international reputation in this area of research.
